My mom reminds me each fall that I need to plant tulips - always offering to help. I'll admit if I didn't have her help and reminder, there is a very good chance I'd never get around to planting hundreds of bulbs months in advance. But oh when we do, it's like the gift we're giving our future selves. As the sun starts to peek back over the mountains and I feel spring in the near future, I'm eagerly waiting for the tulips to bloom.
